The harmonic rhythm accelerates in the second phrase. The harmonic pattern of bar 11 is repeated in bars 12 and 13, transposed up a major second. Chopin then transitions from Bb minor to C minor, reaching Db major by bar 14, before returning to Bb minor:
Once again, the sixteenth notes in the right-hand part add chromatic non-harmonic tones. There is an augmented ninth over the dominant chord, which is written as Ab instead of G#:
