Software requirements

The exercises are based on HTML5 and Javascript and are compatible with tablets and mobile devices. Web Audio technology is used to play musical sounds and requires the use of newer versions of one of the following browsers:

• Google Chrome version 31 or higher
• Firefox version 31 or higher
• Microsoft Edge
• Safari version 7 or higher
• Opera version 30 or higher
• iOS Safari version 7.1 or higher
• Android Browser version 40 or higher
• Chrome for Android version 42 or higher

If you are using one of these browsers, you will be able to answer most of the exercises using a MIDI keyboard:

• Google Chrome version 43 or higher
• Microsoft Edge v. 79 or higher
• Firefox v. 108 or higher
• Opera version 30 or higher

Be sure your browser settings allow the use of WebMIDI on your computer. In Windows, only one application can use the system MIDI driver at a time. Make sure you're not running any other software that might be using the MIDI port, such as a digital audio workstation.

If you have problems with the exercises despite using one of these browsers, we recommend that you reload the page by pressing CONTROL+R (Command+R on Macs) to force the browser to read the latest version. If the previous step does not work, try clearing your browser's cache.
