Measures 19 to 24

A short episode in measure 19 using motives from the subject and countersubject leads us to C minor. Bach presents the subject in 3 ocassions in measures 20 (bass), 21 (soprano) and 23 (alto). In the last presentation (measures 23 and 24) both the subject and the countersubject are slightly variated. This section ends in the G minor key:
