Rhythmic Aspects

The prelude uses a ternary meter subdivided in triplets. In measure 29, the beats are reorganized in a two-beat pattern similar to a hemiola rhythm if we group two 3/4 measures into a 6/4 measure:

Somewhat similar is what happens in measure 65. This time the melodic rhythm uses half notes, preparing the end of the prelude:
