Flash Based Exercises Troubleshoting

All exercises in the Exercises section use Adobe Flash. If you encounter problems, you may want to try the following:

  1. Make sure your computer or mobile device, operating system and browser support Flash. iPads, iPhones, Windows 8 Metro and some Android versions do not support Flash. We have a mobile section that has non flash versions of many of our exercises.
  2. Download and install the latest Adobe Flash version.
  3. The Flash player and Javascript must be activated in your browser.
    Firefox
Tools > Addons: In the Plugins section Shockwave Flash must be checked. Make sure you have no plug-ins to disable Flash.
Preferences > Content: check Enable Javascript.

    Safari
Preferences > Security: Check Enable plug-ins and Enable Javascript.

    Google Chrome
Write chrome:plugins in the address bar. Make sure Adobe Flash Player is enabled.
Go to Preferences > Settings and click Show advanced settings...
    Under Privacy, click Content Settings.
In section Javascript check Allow all sites to run Javascript.

  4. Set your broswer to accept cookies.
    Firefox
Preferences > Privacy: uncheck Tell websites I do not want to be tracked and select Remember history.

    Safari
Preferences > Privacy: in Block cookies select From third parties and advertisers or Never.

    Google Chrome
Preferences > Settings click Show advanced settings...
    Under Privacy, click Content Settings.
In section Cookies check Allow local data to be set.

  5. If you see the exercise option page but nothing happens when you click OK: Right-click (CONTROL+click on Macs) anywhere over the exercise section and select Global Settings. Under the Storage section check the option Allow sites to save information on this computer.
  6. If they still do not work try another broswer. We recommend Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.
